Divorces Granted

George M. Schlorf, 216 N. Lehigh St., Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Kathleen A. Schlorf, 56 Jeddo St., Freeland. They were married Aug. 16, 1980.

Joann F. Conrad, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from John W. Conrad, Lancaster. They were married April 18, 2002.

Heather Marie Kondash, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Shawn Aaron Kondash, Orwigsburg. They were married Sept. 8, 2001.

Janice A. Davies, Gilberton, was granted a divorce from Charles A. Davies, Mahanoy City. They were married Sept. 28, 1998.

Revoke ARD

Andre Donald Soto, 30, Saint Clair, was removed by President Judge William E. Baldwin from the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition (ARD) probation program, which is reserved for first offenders to allow them to serve a probation time and clear their name. Soto broke the rules and now faces trial and the outcome of his case remains a record on his name. He faces a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol brought by Patrolman Warren Firing, Schuylkill Haven police. A conviction now means a jail sentence.

Zachary V. Catizone, 20, Girardville, was removed from the ARD program by Judge Charles M. Miller and now must stand trial on charges of DUI. He was cited by Patrolman Michael O' Neill, Ashland police.

Guilty pleas

Steven Eric Melsom, 41, Shenandoah, admitted stealing items from a vehicle and was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to serve 23 months probation after he received credit for serving 47 days in the Schuylkill County prison. He also must make restitution of $2,500 to Deanna F. White, of North White Street; $6,689.50 to the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and $1,527.49 to Leonard Schumack, of Shenandoah. He also must contribute $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and pay court costs. Melsom wass cited by Patrolman Jason Hayes, Shenandoah police.

Raymond Arthur Stewart, 44, Pottsville, pleaded guilty to charges of failing to comply with regulations as a sex offender and possession of a prohibitive weapon and was sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin to serve 27 to 54 months in a state correctional insitution with credit for having serve 252 days in the county prison.

Christina Nicole Liptok, 21, Herndon, pleaded guilty to receiving money stolen from Theresa Beoris, 28 N. Railroad Ave., Frackville, and was placed on probation by Judge Jacqueline Russell for seven years, make restitution of $49,256 to the victim and $954 to the county's Victims Compensation Assistance Program. She was cited by Patrolman Daniel Weikel, Frackville police.

Revoke probation

Barbara Jean Kemery, 45, of 2714 Summer Valley Road, New Ringgold, had her probation revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin but she was released on probation for greater length of time, two years, on charges of defrauding security creditors. She had pleaded guilty on Jan. 15, 2008, and was placed on probation for 18 months. She was cited by Chief Timothy E. Delaney, Coaldale police. The charge was she had removed personal property on which a levy was imposed by the county sheriff.

Brandon Michael Stephens, 22, Palo Alto, had his probation revoked by Dolbin and he was recommitted to the county prison to serve out the balance of his sentence. His 247 days of liberty were taken away and added to his maximum sentence which was extended to Jan. 1, 2011, however, he will be eligible for re-parole in July 29. He had pleaded guilty in May 2008 to chargs of corruption of minor.

Lucille Alma Dunleavy, 52, Ashland, had her probation revoked by Dolbin and she was recommitted to the county prison to serve out the balance of her sentence with 97 days of liberty added to her maximum sentence which was extended to Oct. 8, 2011. She is eligible for parole March 2. She had pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and disorderly conduct last August and was placed on probation for 23 months. She was cited by Officer Richard Haraschak III, Ashland police.

Ronald Glenn Sticker Jr., 29, Pine Grove, had his probation revoked by Judge Charles M. Miller and he was re-sentenced to serve three to six months in the county prison. He had pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and last August was given a break and placed on probation for six months. He was cited by Cpl. Jeffery Futchko, Pine Grove police.

Register of Wills

Michael D. McCord, Register of Wills, and Clerk of the Orphan's Court, reported on the following activities for the month of January.

Estates processed 69; marriage licenses issued 26; inheritance tax remitted to the state, $471,126.54; and county fees collected, $17,948.50.
