Crash probed in Schuylkill
A one-vehicle crash was probed about 7:32 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, along SR61 in Blythe Township, Schuylkill County, south of the Schuylkill Mall.
State police at Frackville said Matthew Edward Nahodil, 20, of Ashland, was driving a 2002 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound when he lost control while negotiating a curve due to icy conditions.
The truck struck the guide rail along the east berm and came to rest facing west partially blocking the southbound lanes.
Nahodil was not injured but damages to the vehicle were disabling.
Troopers cited Nahodil for driving at an (un) safe speed for road conditions.
