On this date

Dr. E. Jane Goplerud was pesented the Golden Deeds Award during the 18th annual banquet of the Palmerton Exchange Club held in the parish hall of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The Golden Deeds Award is presented to a person "whose service to one's fellowman and to one's community is above and beyond the call of duty." Speakers pointed out that many parents and their children are indebted to Dr. Jane for her competent and sympathetic care.
