Driver facing DUI

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash about 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7, along SR443 in the area of the BG's Market, in Pine Grove Township.

Troopers said Basilio DeJesus, 42, of Hegins, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata eastbound when the car went onto the south berm, traveled about 250 feet, before colliding into a utility pole.

DeJesus was taken to the Schuylkill Medica Center South, Pottsville, by Pine Grove ambulance, for treatment of minor injuries. Damages were moderate to the car.

Troopers said the DUI charge is pending blood test results.
