Inclement weather conditions force courthouse to be closed

Because of the inclement weather the Schuylkill County courthouse was closed today and the commissioners' public meeting has been rescheduled for next week.

The commissioners will hold a public meeting next Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. in the courthouse in Pottsville and this will be followed by the regular scheduled work session beginning at 10 a.m.

All hearings scheduled by the county judges were also rescheduled to other days. President Judge William, E. Baldwin, who had 12 senentencing scheduled for today, has rescheduled them for Thursday and Friday.

Despite the weather the 9-1-1, Rest Haven Home and Hospital and other public agencies remain open.
