Thefts from motor vehicles reported

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft from the vehicle of Walter G. Ibanez, 47 of Brodheadsville, that occurred sometime between 9 p.m., Feb. 4, and 10 a.m. Feb. 5 at 14 Green Forest Court in Polk Township. Unknown persons smashed his car window and removed a GPS and his wallet containing various forms of IDs and credit cards. The center console was also damaged.

Jennifer Marykwas, 35 of Jim Thorpe, also reported a theft from her vehicle in her driveway at her residence sometime between 7 p.m., Feb. 4, and 6:15 a.m. Feb. 5. Removed was a black Heckler & Koch .40 caliber pistol, iPod Touch MP3 player, and a purse consisting of various forms of identification, bank cards and approximately $40 in cash.
