The Route 903 brdige in Jim Thorpe was closed at 8:30 p.m. today because a crack was found in its substructure during a routine PennDOT inspection. Crews immediately made repairs and the bridge was reopened within 24 hours. "There is no threat of the structure falling through, but there is a possibility that traffic could cause it to shift," said Budd Stann, PennDOT official. "Therefore, we have to close it as a precaution until the crack is taken care of."
