February 12, 1994 Brian Balliet explodes for 39 points to lead Jim Thorpe to an 87-62 victory over Minersville. Balliet shoots 14-of-24 from the floor, including a 6-of-13 effort from three-point range. He tallies 11 points in the opening quarter and 13 more in the second frame as the Olympians build a 15-point halftime lead. The winners, coached by Randy Engle, also receive 16 points from Dave Strohl and 10 from Eric Schrantz.
