Monroe man cited

A Monroe County man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 2:59 p.m. Wednesday in Pocono Pines.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers were on patrol when they conducted a traffic stop on a sliver Mazda sedan at a one lane bridge along SR423 when they observed violations of the vehicle code.

During contact with the operator, Sean O'Brien, 21, of Blakeslee, a multicolored glass pipe containing marijuana residue was visible in the center console/storage area.

No additional contraband was located on O'Brien or his vehicle. O'Brien was cited and released.
