Crash on I80 in Carbon
A Northampton County driver was involved in a crash along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. State police at Fern Ridge said the mishap occurred about 5:03 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14.
Troopers said David Alexander, 31, of Bethlehem, was driving a 2006 Ford Sports Utility Vehicle westbound in the right lane when he lost control of a trailer he was towing. The trailer caused the Ford to travel off the road on the left and go down an embankment. The trailer became unattached and overturned in the left lane. The Ford and trailer had to be towed from the scene.
Alexander and his passenger, Eric Stecker, 26, of Emmaus, were slightly injured. Assisting troopers were volunteers from the Lake Harmony, Kidder Township and Albrightsville fire companies.
