Tamaqua hires coaches
The Tamaqua Area School Board approved the following coach hirings at its monthly meeting Tuesday evening.
Frank Wenzel was hired as assistant junior high track and field coach, at a salary of $1,142.
Jillian Knoblauch was retained as assistant varsity softball coach, at $1,919.
Abigail Graver, Tamaqua, was hired as assistant junior varsity softball coach, at $1,000.
The following were approved as volunteer assistant coaches: Joe Halenar, Jim Thorpe, baseball; and Ken Mateyak, Andreas, and Courtney McCarroll, Tamaqua, both for girls soccer.
