Clarification on fatal accident
In Monday's edition of the TIMES NEWS, a photo and caption were published regarding the fatal accident on Friday, Feb. 12 that claimed the life of Edward Stott, 46.
The headline for the photo was "Man dies in West Penn crash". The accident occurred at Country Tile on Route 309, which is in the Borough of Tamaqua, not West Penn Township.
Additionally, the West Penn Township Fire Company did respond to the scene, with one of its firefighters the first to arrive. The West Penn company was inadvertently omitted from the list of responders in the photo caption.
The TIMES NEWS regrets any confusion this might have caused.
