Bereavement group
St. Joseph's Church bereavement group will meet this evening, Monday, at 7 o'clock in the church rectory, 526 North St. If you have questions, you may call the rectory at (570) 325-3731.
Five Mile High meeting
The Five Mile High organization will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at the Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun Club. This organization is formed to raise interest in the stocking of trout in the Lehigh River, from the Route 903 bridge to the confluence of Bear Creek. If you have questions or wish more information contact Mark at (570) 657-0565. The group meets the last Tuesday of the month.
Lenten meal
St. John's Lutheran Church, Heights, will hold its first Lenten soup and scripture service on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the fellowship hall of the church. The meal will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the service and discussion. Members of the Willing Workers of the church will be providing the meals.
LAOH
Members of the LAOH will hold their meeting on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. in McGinley Hall. Final plans for the St. Patrick's parade will be made at this time.
Community supper
The free community supper sponsored by St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, Race St., will be held on Sunday, Feb 28, from 4-6 p.m. The menu this month is spaghetti and meatballs.
