Woman pleads to two DUI counts; 15 enter guilty pleas
A Minersville woman, who pleaded guilty to two counts of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, was sentenced by Judge Charles M. Miller to six days in prison plus heavy costs. Miller also sentenced 15 others who entered guilty pleas recently in Schuylkill County court.
Grace C. Credidio, 33, received a 72 hours sentence on each DUI count and began her sentence Sunday, Feb. 21, at 9:30 a. m. in the county prison. She is to be granted immediate parole on completion of her minimum sentence and ordered to serve 12 months on probation.
She was also ordered to pay fines totaling $2,000, pay $600 to Substance Abuse Education Fund (SAE); $100 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund, $120 to Schuylkill Medical Center, $100 to Catastrophe fund, attend highway safety school and receive outpatient counseling. On two counts of driving while her operating privileges were suspended was fined $200 each plus $100 costs; operating a vehicle without insurance, fined $300 plus $50 costs; and reckless driving, $25 fined plus $50 costs. Christopher John Blackwell, 31, Minersville, on a charge of theft was placed on probation 12 months and pay costs of prosecution. He was cited by Chief Shawn Tray, West Mahanoy Township police.
David Allen Borinsky, 52, Pottsville, on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation 30 days, and pay $100 to SAE fund. He was cited by Patrolman John Mohl, Pottsville police.
Michael Casha Bostick, 33, Pottsville, on a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $100, pay court costs and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Charges of endangering welfare of children and corruption of minors were nol prossed. Bostick was cited by Patrolman Brian Reno, Pottsville police.
Sean Patrick Cooke, 18, Pottsville, on a charges of repairing and selling an offensive weapon was placed on probation 23 months; for assaulting Brandon Michael Starr, Pottsville, received 12 months probation to run concurrent with the first charge and on a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $50 and costs. Cooke was cited by Patrolman Renee Galle, Pottsville police.
On a charge of recklessly endangering another person he was sentenced to serve an additional 12 months on probation and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Cpl. Dennis Wiederhold, Pottsville police. He also entered guilty pleas to four counts of impersonating a public servant, state trooper and deputy sheriff, and was given 18 months on probation to run concurrent. He was cited by Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey, Pottsville police.
Robert Lee Nelson Jr., 30, Pottsville, on a charge of DUI was sentenced to serve 48 hours to six months in the county prison beginning Friday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m., and when the minimum sentence is completed to be granted immediate parole, pay a $500 fine, pay $100 to SAE fund, $59 to CJEA fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete alcohol highway safety school, and driver's license is suspended 12 months. Francis Lee Pugh, 54, Frackville, was sentenced on charges of receiving a credit card stolen from David Raibeck, Frackville, and identify theft, to serve 18 months on probation and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Pugh was cited by Cpl. Marvin Livergood, Frackville police.
James Brian Roche, 46, Ashland, on a charge of possession a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation 30 days, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund but on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was ordered to serve 12 months on probation to run concurrent with the marijuana charge. On a charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended was placed under house arrest for 30 days. He also must make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Roche. He was cited by Chief Edward Tarantelli, Butler Township police.
Antonio Deon Wilson, 27, South Hills, Va., on a charge of corruption of minors was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for having served 14 days, pay a $200 fine. On another corruption of miners charge he was fined $200 fine and also pay $50 to CJEA fund. A charge of statutory sexual assault was nol prossed.
Craig Steven Dewitt, 18, Minersville, on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was placed on probation 12 months, pay $100 to SAE fund and $50 to CJEA fund. Dewitt was cited by Patrolman Brian Reno, Pottsville police.
Brian Keith Donner, 25, Ashland, on a charge of criminal trespass on property of Tiffany Roshoe, Ashland, was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison and pay $50 to CJEA fund. On a charge of theft was given a 12 months concurrent probation sentence. He received credit for serving 23 days in jail. Donner was cited by Patrolman Mark O'Hearn, Ashland police.
On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana, brought by Patrolman O'Hearn, was given a concurrent 12 months probation, pay $100 to SAE fund and $50 to CJEA fund.
Anton George Floyd, 42, Minersville, on two simple assault charges was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison with credit for serving 34 days and pay $50 to CJEA fund. Floyd was cited by Patrolman Richard C. Clink, Minersville police.
Robert Hasker, 48, Frackville, on a charge of disorderly conduct was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and have no contact with Jacqueline Smith and Claudia Smith, Frackville. He was cited by Cpl. Marvin Liverpool, Frackville police.
Justin M. Hoban, 29, Minersville, pleaded guilty to a number of criminal charges and was placed on strict probation for 36 months and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He entered guilty pleas to two counts of possession of an instrument of crime, a knife; three counts of simple assault and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. Hoban was cited by Patrolman Richard C. Clink, Minersville police.
John Arthur Hoffman, 40, Hazleton, on charges of retail theft from Walmart Store, Rush Township, and criminal conspiracy, was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $567.24 to the store for three PlayStations. He was cited by Patrolman Brian Thompson, Rush Township police.
Daisy Krevis, 40, Minersville, on a charge of careless driving was fined $25 plus $50 costs and on a charge of disorderly conduct was fined $75 plus $50 costs. A charge of DUI was nol prossed. Krevis was cited by Patrolman Raymond Tonkinson, Minersville police.
Dianne Marie Kutsko, 40, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to 12 drug related charges. Miller deferred sentencing to Friday, April 16, and allowed her to remain free on bail. The charges are three counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal conspiracy, criminal use of cell phone and possession of a controlled substance. Kutsko was cited by Trooper Troy Greenawald.
Mark Tophoney, 43, Ashland, on a charge of being involved in an accident striking a parked vehicle, was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund, and make restitution of $538 to Judy Neumeister. On a charge of driving while his operating privileges were suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs. Tophoney was cited by Chief Adam Bwernodin Jr., Ashland police.
All defendants must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
