Death of Rush Township man is being probed

The death of a Rush Township man, whose body was found at the Mahanoy City Little League field on Tuesday, is being investigated and is being called suspicious.

Mark Ketusky, 52, of Barnesville, was reported missing by his family to Rush Township police on Monday about 5 p.m.

At 1:30 p.m. Tuesday his body was found at the Little League field by borough police.

He was pronounced dead at the scene about 2 p.m. by a deputy coroner.

State police at Frackville and the state police major case unit out of the Reading barracks are investigating the death. They are being assisted by Mahanoy City and Rush Township police, District Attorney James Goodman's office and the county coroner's office.

An autopsy was scheduled this morning at the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville, by Dr. Richard Bindie, forensics pathologist.

Troopers did not release any details concerning the possible cause of death.

A Jeep Sports Utility Vehicle was found near the scene but troopers did not indicate if it belonged to Ketusky.

Troopers are asking anyone with information concerning the incident or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity near the Little League field to call them at (570) 874-5300.
