Fire company burglarized again

A Schuylkill County fire company, burglarized over the past weekend, was hit again this week.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the Citizens Fire Company, at 139 W. Bacon St., Palo Alto, was targeted by criminals on Tuesday. Sometime between 10:45 and 10:58 p.m. entry was made through an unlocked door. Once inside the criminals went to the bar area and removed about $12 in quarters from the cash register.

The fire company was robbed on Saturday around 8 p.m. when an undetermined amount of cash was taken. Troopers said this is the fourth burglary at the fire company in the past several months.
