Lehighton man assisted in Haiti with U.S. Navy
A Lehighton man, serving in the U.S. Navy, had a change in his assignment.
Jeffrey Teets was supposed to head for the Mediterranean, but instead is spending time assisting with operations in the earthquake ravaged country of Haiti.
He was actually bound for the Mediteranean Sea when his ship was diverted to Haiti.
Teets is the son of Marci Teets Marsicano of Hazleton and the late Jeffrey Teets.
His grandparents are Carlos and Kay Teets of Lehighton.
He is a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and is married to the former Gretta Yoder, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Keith Yoder of Reading.
