Bail hearings
A bench warrant issued for Raymoind G. Hower, 20, Mahanoy City, was vacated after he was brought to court for hearing. Judge D. Michael Stine also set aside forfeiture of the bail by reinstating it but issued special conditions. Hower had to abide to the following - reside at 435 Roosevelt Drive, Mahanoy City, and shall not relocate without prior court approval and shall not possess alcohol or controlled substance and must submit to random drug testing.
He was cited by Trooper Shawn D. Kofluk and charged with false report to police. He was first placed in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) program for first time offenders. However, he violated the rules and was removed from the program last May and now faces trial.
A bench warrant against Matthew E.Wright, 22, South Hills, Va., was vacated and his bail forfeiture set aside by Stine who set new bail at $25,000 cash and when Wright could not post it was remanded to the county prison to await trial. He faces charges of corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol beverages to minors lodged by Det. Steven B. Guers, Pottsville police.
A bench warrant issued against Corey J. Leininger, 37, Pottsville, was vacanted and the bail forfeiture set aside by Stine who set new bail at $3,000 percentage cash and set special conditions. Leininger shall reside at 282 Swopes Valley Road, Pine Grove, his father's residence, and cannot relocate without prior court order. Leininger faces charges of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia brought by Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey, Pottsville police.
A bench warrant issued for Ray Allen Lucas, Tower City, was vacated and the bail forfeiture set aside by Stine who set new bail at $10,000 percentage cash. He faces cashing a check which did not have sufficient funds in the bank as filed by Patrolman Richard C. Clink, Minersville police, and faces DUI charges brought by Trooper Michael Ryan.
