Lease payments
Woodrow R. Frey Jr., aka, Woody Frey, dba, Body & Soul Complex, 701 Bridge St., Lehighton, filed a complaint against SPA, and Blair and Leslie Gerber Jr., 22 Hillside Place, Kunkletown, alleging the defendants have defaulted on a lease agreement at the defendants' Lehighton property. Sought is an amount in "excess of the jurisdictional limits requiring compulsory arbitration."
Medical suit
David and Jill H. Pereira, 556 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, filed a civil complaint against Brenda Burkett, NP, a nurse; Palmerton Hospital; 135 Lafayette St., Palmerton; Dr. Michael Wissler, 5300 Kidspace Drive, Orefield; and Palmerton Emergency Physicians Inc., c/o 7096 Decatur St., New Tripoli.
The suit states on March 15, 2008, David Pereira went to the emergency room of the defendant hospital for a laceration to his right hand. He was treated by the defendants but claims the hand became infected and he suffered medical problems detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of four counts.

The suit states on Feb. 23, 2008, William Holmes was at the defendant's property at 211 N. Meckesville Rd., Albrightsville, participating in a game of paintball in an area field when he was caused to "slip, trip, stumble, misstep and fall" due to ice covered snow causing injuries detailed in the suit.
Negligence is alleged and sought are damages in excess of $50,000 on each of two counts.
