District 11 postpones all Friday basketball

All District 11 basketball playoff games scheduled for Friday night have been postponed.

The games will now be played on Saturday afternoon.

Of the games rescheduled, six of them involve TIMES NEWS area teams.

In boys AAA, the site of the Panther Valley vs. Pottsville contest has also changed. The game will now be played at Minersville at 2:30 p.m.

Other AAA boys games with local teams include Jim Thorpe vs. Blue Mountain, which will be played at 2:30 p.m. at Weatherly, and Northern Lehigh vs. Saucon Valley, now scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Catasauqua.

In boys A action, Marian will now face Mahanoy Area at 1 p.m. at Weatherly, while Weatherly will take on Notre Dame-ES at 1 p.m. at Pocono Mountain East.

In girls AA play, Palmerton's matchup with Notre Dame-GP has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m. at Northern Lehigh.

All games scheduled for Saturday will still be played at their original times.
