Schuylkill crash

A snow-covered Schuylkill County roadway was the site of a one vehicle crash that occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25.

State police at Frackville said David James Davis, 55, of Pottsville, was driving a 1997 Jeep Wrangler southbound on SR924 in East Union Township when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve. The vehicle crossed the northbound lane and went onto the berm where it struck a concrete bridge head-on.

Davis was not injured but damages were disabling to the vehicle. Troopers said Davis will be cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
