It's good to be home

October 3, 2006 will stand out in the minds of Jim and Jan Everett. Their beloved store, some 20 years in the making, was burning before them. Some five million dollars in inventory was lost as well as their store.

It was then and there that Jim Everett vowed to rebuild, and after 3 long years, on February 13, to the delight of everyone of their customers, the store has finally re-opened.

"We opened our door on the 13th; a soft open, with no fan-fare or advertising." says Everett. "Low and behold, they overran us, the pent-up demand to finally see the store open was just too much for everyone!" "Some 2,000 people came out on Sunday alone, and everyone's rejoicing."

The biggest hit of the store seems to be the "Street Corner Candy" store where they make their own fudge. Many of the things that were found in the old store are incorporated into this new facility. "We haven't lost the charm of the old store" says Jan Everett. " It was our highest priority to give our customers the same warm feeling that they so enjoyed before".

The streets are once again lined with gifts, flowers, and foods. "Treasure Island" is being filled with pallet buys, home accents and ever changing booth buys. An Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor and a restaurant are slated to open early March. Sorrenti's Wine Cellar will soon be offering wine tasting. Candles, the chicken coop filed with everything country and of course big dinosaurs for the kids are found on the streets.

"Automated Lifestyles" are installing a complete home theater for everyones' pleasure.

Sit down an enjoy the feel of a real home theater.

The Service Team, home installation experts are housed in the store. Their showroom will include offices and products installed such as gutter, roofing, insulation, siding, garages, garage doors, decks, fencing and flooring department. A paint department and hardware department is also on location. Of course, you can shop Ashley Furniture.

With the utilization of the whole property now, the "experience" of Country Junction will be even more grand. "Animal Country" is being reconstructed to house all Pets and Pet supplies. Many ideas for the Pet store are in the works and it will be a destination store in itself.

The Free Petting Farm, a play ground centered around the Pirate Ship will be enjoyed all year long by customers. "A Farmer's Market is in the planning stages for weekends which should be a bit hit." Says Everett.

Patio and Lawn and Garden will be located in the "For Seasons" tent . Closeouts have always been a draw, and will be once again.

"All in all, there's even more reason to visit Country Junction, and we thank our loyal friends and customers and look forward to new friends and new customers, it's good to be home!"
