Carbon driver facing DUI count
A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident about 3:17 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 1.
State police at Lehighton said Anthony Julio Riggio, 26, of Lehighton, was driving along Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township, when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a embankment.
Riggio was found to be under the influence and was taken to the barracks where he submitted to a breath test, troopers said. Charges will be filed, troopers added.
