A Christmas gift from Tamaqua Borough to Coaldale is now being shared with Rush Township. A few years ago, Tamaqua gave Coaldale some of its gently used outdoor Christmas decorations, including a tree and wreaths. Coaldale was unable to use them and had been keeping them in storage, said Coaldale council president Sue Solt.

Recently, Rush Township supervisor Steve Simchak learned of the decorations and approached the borough about sharing them. Now, the festive decorations deck the Rush Township municipal building.
