Monroe man facing charges

A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident in Polk Township.

State police at Lehighton said David A. Vanhorn, 47, and Betty Lou Vanhorn, 47, both of Kunkletown, got into a physical altercation about 5 p.m. in the area of Greenzwig and Kuehner roads. During the altercation David Vanhorn allegedly punched Betty Lou Vanhorn in the face causing her to have a blackened and bruised eye. He fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers.

Troopers said a simple assault charge is pending agianst the suspect.
