January 9, 1970 Tony Choy reaches the 1,000-point mark and also establishes a new Palmerton floor scoring record as the Blue Bombers roll to a 103-57 Lehigh Valley League win over Whitehall. Choy, who shoots 18-of-31 from the floor, tallies a game-high 46 points and eclipses the century mark with 4:13 left in the game. Tom Naab and John Hayes each finish with 10 points for the winners while Bruce Kocher pulls down a team-high 11 rebounds.
