Heritage Hill woman celebrates 92 years

Stephanie Anna Palko, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, will be celebrating her 92nd birthday on Jan. 17.

Born in Plainfield, N.J. in 1918, Stephanie has also resided in Perth Amboy, N.J. and Edison, N.J.

She earned her high school diploma and was the head banquet waitress at the Pines Manor in New Jersey and the Sheraton in East Brunswick.

She was married to Michael J. "Mickey" Palko for 30 years.

Stephanie is the proud mother of three children. Barbara Davis of N.J. and Florida; George Sawicki of Jim Thorpe; and Michael Palko of Florida.

She has five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is an excellent sewer and cook of ethnic foods.

Stephanie is a member of St. Francis Cathedral.

Over the years Stephanie has traveled to many places including Hawaii, Europe, New England, Texas, and Minnesota.
