Break-ins probed

State police at Lehighton reported on two burglaries investigated recently by troopers.

The home of Helena Favire, 61, of 96 Haney Road, in Kresgeville, Polk Township, Monroe County, was entered and removed were multiple hand and power tools, multiple fur coats and two day beds. No estimate value was immediately available for the missing items.

The entry occurred sometime between Nov. 26, 2009, and Sunday, Jan. 17.

The second entry occurred at the residence of Jennifer Ruth, 35, of 590 Preachers Camp Rd., Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Unknown persons kicked in a door and once inside rummaged through a desk and smashed a dish. Nothing appeared to be taken from the home, troopers said. The incident occurred sometime between 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15.

Troopers are also investigating a criminal mischief incident. Richard Patrick Herrick, 47, of 39 Birchwood Park, Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported unknown person threw eggs at his home about 11 p.m. on Jan. 16.
