Wrong plate on vehicle

Published January 21. 2010 05:00PM

State police at Lehighton reported the arrest of a Monroe County resident after a vehicle stop revealed the plate on the truck the man was driving belonged to another vehicle.

Troopers said David Joseph Frantz Jr., of Kunkletown, was stopped for a traffic violation on Tuesday, Jan. 19, about 4:10 p.m. at 563A Molasses Valley Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County. A check found the plate on his Ford truck was one that had been previously reported stolen out of the Brodheadsville area.

Frantz was arraigned before Distruct Judge Michael Muth on a charge of receiving stolen property and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $10,000 bail.
