Quakake man sentenced to prison for dealing drugs

A Rush Township man was sentenced to prison Friday by Judge John E. Miller in Schuylkill County Court after being found guilty by a jury last month of dealing in illegal drugs.

Brandon Ross Snyder, 37, of 107 Second Street, Quakake, will serve 21 months to 42 months in a state correctional institution, pay a fine of $500 and court costs, and make restitution of $113 to the Bethlehem Regional Lab and $120 to the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.

Snyder was arrested by the county drug task force in January 2008 after he sold heroin to a confidential informer off Center Turnpike in Rush Township. A jury found him guilty of a charge of criminal conspiracy. The court and district attorney's office advised Snyder to continue to receive treatment so he can "sober" up and again become a productive member of society.

Snyder admitted in court he was a drug addict. He is currently serving a sentence in a state prison in Pittsburgh. The sentence imposed is consecutive to the one he is serving.

Also, D'Angelo Pringle, 33, Schuylkill Haven, who pleaded guilty last month to selling drugs in the Schuylkill Haven Area, was sentenced by Judge Miller to serve three years to six years in a state correctional institution, pay a fine of $1,000 and court costs, pay $300 to the Substance Abuse Education fund, $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account fund and make restitution of $365 to the Bethlehem Lab.

He was arrested by Sgt. Robert W. Phillips, Schuylkill Haven Police, with selling heroin. drugs.
