Rush Police make theft, DUI arrests

Amy M Merenda, Barnesville is facing retail theft and receiving stolen property for stealing 10 items of merchandise which had a total combined value of $130.91 from Wal-mart in Hometown on Jan. 19 at 5:39 p.m., according to Rush Township police.

Merenda is also facing drug paraphernalia and Misbranding of Medication or Prescription charges at Wal-mart.

Maureen E Pickford, 40, Tamaqua is facing DUI and other charges after being stopped on Claremont Ave by Rush Township police On Jan. 20 at 12:30 a.m. Pickford was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center South in Pottsville for a blood test.
