Carbon driver injured in crash

A Carbon County driver was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 9:29 p.m. on Jan. 19 along Stony Mountain Road, in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Jeannine Caputo, 42, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2001 Isuzu Trooper southbound when she lost control. The vehicle went through a fence and struck a tree head-on.

Caputo was taken by ambulance to the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton, for treatment of injuries. Two juvenile passengers, ages 10 and 13 both from Albrightsville, were not injured.
