Seldom do you hear of two fires occurring on the same street in the same year in any town. On North First Street in Lehighton, on the east side of the street, five firest have broken out just this month. Only one was arson. The fifth fire was discovered this evening and was weather related. Fire Chief Wayne Nothstein said water from melting ice seeped down a rear wall and shorted-out an electrical system in an apartment building. The wall in the area of the electrical box began burning, but the fire was quickly extinguished.
