Published January 25. 2010 05:00PM

A vehicle stop in Monroe County led to the arrest of a wanted person.

State police at Fern Ridge said Charles J. Carroll, 25, of Albrightsville, was stopped about 9:34 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the intersection of SR115 and Interstate 80, in Tobyhanna Township, for a stop sign violation.

A license check revealed that Carroll was wanted by the Lackawanna County sheriff's department for failure to appear.

He was taken into custody and lodged in the Monroe prison in Snydersville pending his return to Lackawanna County.
