FT wins a pair

Franklin Township won a pair of games this week to stay alive in the District 18 11-12 year-old double-elimination Little League Tournament.

FT-Anthracite

Dante Salerno and Brody Hydro both had big games to lead Franklin Township to an 18-0 victory over Anthracite in a loser's bracket game on Wednesday.

Salerno and Hydro both had three hits and score three runs. Wyatt Clements added a home run for Franklin while Evan Haberman and Tegan Durishin chipped in two hits each.

Brady Niehoff was the winning pitcher.

FT-Valley East

Tyler Cann pitched four strong innings to lead Franklin Township to an 8-1 win over Valley East on Monday.

Brody Hydro had three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored for Franklin. Evan Haberman had two hits, including a home run, and knocked in four runs. Hunter Greene chipped in two hits.
