School reunion

A general reunion is being planned for students who attended the former Breiner's Number 2 School in the Lewistown Valley. The event will be held Aug. 14, at the school, located on Valley Road.

Deadline for reservations will be July 30.

Trash collection

There will be no changes in next week's trash collection schedule for residents of Tamaqua and Hometown. All routes will be collected on their regular days.

St. John's Lutheran

The Rev. Phyllis J. Wolford will officiate at the 9:15 a.m. worship service this Sunday in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Summer hours for the church office will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Zion Lewistown

The Rev. Sunny Stock will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley.

The service will include a children's sermon and children's church. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
