Monroe County man charged

A Monroe County man has been charged with simple assault following an incident on Wednesday, June 30, about 12:35 a.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police were dispatched to Seminole Trail, in Tobyhanna, for a domestic incident. Upon arrival officers learned that David B. Meyers Jr., 40, of Horsham, Montgomery County, had injured a juvenile after the two were playing around and the suspect became upset.

The juvenile sustained minor injuries to the neck area, police said. Meyers fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. Charges were filed against him.
