Palmerton cyclist injured in crash

A Palmerton motorcyclist was injured in a crash about 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, along Forest Inn Road, near Snyders Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Santos A. Alvadaro, 23, was driving a Honda F41 at a high rate of speed when he lost control. The bike slid off the road and crashed into a tree along the right berm. Alvadaro was injured and taken to the Palmerton Hospital.

Troopers cited Alvadaro for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
