Valley Athletic Supply sits in first place

With a big start to the season, Valley Athletic Supply (14-1) sits atop the standings in the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's summer volleyball league.

RESULTS

Tuesday, June 29

Highwood USA

-Pup N' Suds

Pup N' Suds broke into the win column with two wins over Highwood USA 19-25, 25-12, 26-24.

Tommy "Unicorn" Caggiano led Pup N' Suds with 10 service points, while Brittany Homcha tacked on 9 points and six aces.

For Highwood USA, Taylor Baddick scored six service points.

Prestige Worldwide

-Valley Athletic

Valley Athletic Supply remained undefeated on the season with a three game sweep over Pretige Worldwide (25-20, 25-17, 25-7).

Christa Vrabel paced Valley Athletic with 13 points and Nicole Leonzi added nine of her own, including six aces.

Joe Kash's four service points topped Prestige Worldwide.

Volleyball Cronies

-Sandstorm

Volleyball Cronies ended Sandstorm's 10-game winning streak by taking two out of three games (22-25, 25-23, 25-17).

Mike Stockmal and Chad Fritzinger scored 13 points apiece to lead the Cronies, while Abby Owsinski tacked on nine points.

Demi Ogozalek's led Sandstorm with 11 service points.

Thursday, July 1

Volleyball Cronies

-Highwood USA

Pup N' Suds won two out of three matches from Volleyball Cronies by final scores of 25-22, 25-12, 24-26.

Connor Trainer had a big night behind the service line for Pup N' Suds with 15 points and nine aces. Brittany Homcha tallied 13 service points and five aces, while Cailin McCullion served off 10 points.

Mike Stockmal's 18 service points (seven aces) and Ang Rutch's 12 service points (four aces) paced Volleyball Cronies.

Prestige Worldwide

-Highwood USA

Highwood USA got the better of Prestige Worldwide by taking two out of three games, 25-15, 22-25, 25-17.

Carly Markovich led Highwood USA with 15 service points and six aces and Taylor Baddick chipped in with nine points.

Christi Trusky's seven points paced Prestige Worldwide.

Valley Athletic

-Sandstorm

Sandstorm knocked Valley Athletic Supply from the ranks of the unbeaten, but Valley Athletic rallied to win two of three games (13-25, 25-19, 25-18).

Christa Vrabal's seven service points topped Valley Athletic.

For Sandstorm, Christa Mantz and Demi Ogozalek tallied 10 and nine points respectively.
