Rush Police make retail theft, drug, DUI arrests

Rush Township Police have reported the following arrests.

On June 27 at 3 p.m. three juvenile males from Girardville were cited with underage drinking charges after consuming beer on State Game Lands property off of Taggertsville Road.

On June 27 at 9:56 p.m. Kevin W. Warmkessel, 21, of Nesquehoning was stopped and is facing drug charges after police found heroin and several items of drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle on Taggertsville Road.

On June 30 at 5:29 p.m. Eva M. Bringhurst, 49, of Lansford was cited for retail theft after stealing merchandise valued at $5.72 from the Hometown Walmart. At 10:41 p.m., Joshua T. Houser, 30, of Tamaqua was cited for retail theft after stealing merchandise valued at $30 from Walmart.

Rush Township police are also investigating a theft of a green Craftsman riding lawn mower from Fairview Street on July 3.
