July 7, 1988 Chris Botek finishes with three hits, one a double, to help Lehighton gain a 7-3 Lehigh Valley Legion win over Palmerton. Botek gave the winners the lead for good with a two-run single in the third inning. Brad Niehoff earns the pitching victory while Don Ansbach tosses two and two-thirds scoreless innings to register the save. For Palmerton, Steve Endres collects two hits.
