Schuylkill assault

State police at Frackville reported the arrest of a Schuylkill County woman for simple assault

Troopers said on Monday, July 5, about 9 p.m. Bobbi Jo Smith, 30, of Freeland, and Roseann Card, 28, of Ebervale, engaged in a verbal argument at 213 Sherman St., McAdoo. Smith allegedly then struck Card with a closed fist above her left eye, causing a large laceration above her eye. Troopers said Card had to seek medical attention at the Hazleton General Hospital.
