Bad checks count for Weatherly man
Michael Snee, 49, a resident of Heritage Hill Senior Community, Weatherly, faces charges from an incident which took place at 22 Edgemont Road, Lansford, between Aug. 26 and Dec. 31, 2009. Officer Brian Horos charged Snee with four counts of passing bad checks.
According to an affidavit of probable cause: Horos received a complaint from ALPC Inc. (doing business as Edgemont Lodge/personal care home) representative Corey Perry concerning bad checks. He told police the incident involved four bad checks received for residency at the home.
Perry received the first check from Snee for rent on Aug. 26, 2009. The $1,000 check was drawn on Snee's Citibank account but rejected for insufficient funds. Perry received the second $1,000 check on Aug. 31, 2009. That too, bounced, as did checks given Perry on Oct. 30, 2009, and on Dec. 31, 2009. All the checks were for $1,000 and drawn on Snee's Citibank account.
Registered mail was sent to Snee by Perry on Feb. 8, 2010, advising him to make payment in full within 10 days. The balance remains unpaid.
