Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Dunbar of Jim Thorpe recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 15, 1985 at St. John's Lutheran Church in-the-heights, Jim Thorpe, by the Rev. Charles Kampmeyer.

Mrs. Dunbar is the former Jean Kemmerle, daughter of Charlotte Kemmerle of Jim Thorpe and the late Marvin Kemmerle. She is employed as an administrative assistant at Panther Creek Partners in Nesquehoning.

Mr. Dunbar is the son of the late Myron and Loretta Dunbar, formerly of Lehighton. He is a licensed realtor at Mary Enck Realty in Albrightsville.

They have two sons: Matthew, a recent Bloomsburg University graduate, and Brandon, a junior biology pre-med student at Bloomsburg University.

The couple renewed their vows recently and celebrated their anniversary with a weeklong vacation in Curacao, one of the A-B-C Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao) in the southern most part of the Caribbean, along with sister and brother-in-law, Fay and Walter Schlenner, who celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on May 10.

A surprise party in their honor was thrown by the couple's sons and family at the Schlenner's home following the trip.
