Volunteers needed

Members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, will be having a stand at the Summit Hill Fire Company's dedication program on Saturday, July 24. Volunteers are needed to set up at noon and to help at the stand during the festivities. Also needed are donations of hot dogs, rolls, soda, water and Rice Krispie squares.

Water authority

The Summit Hill Water Authority will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 21, at 7 p.m. in the borough hall. John Michalik, president, will be in charge.

Infants baptized

Louis Gregory Sommers, son of Louis and Jennifer (Smith) Sommers and Amelia Rose Degler, daughter of Keith and Angelina (Colancecco) Degler, were baptized on June 19 and 27, respectively, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill.

Services sought

St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, is seeking the services of individuals to fill various board positions. Openings exist for the parish council and finance committee, Our Lady of the Angels Academy school board and the OLOAA finance committee. The only requirement is a desire to perpetuate the Catholic school. It is not necessary that those serving in the school capacities have a child at OLOAA.

Anyone interested in the positions is asked to contact the Rev. James Burdess, pastor.

Scripture sharing

The weekly scripture sharing program at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held on Thursday, July 15, at 7 p.m. in the rectory.

Celebrating birthday

Sister Mary Florence, former principal and pastoral assistant in Summit Hill for many years, will celebrate her birthday on July 26. Birthday wishes can be sent to her at the following: Sister Mary Florence Hawe, 515 Montgomery Ave., Merion Station, Pa. 19066.
