Vehicle driven into pond

State police at Lehighton are investigating an incident in Monroe County in which unknown criminals entered a parked vehicle and then drove it into a pond.

Troopers said the incident occurred sometime between 3 and 6 a.m. on July 1 at the home of Daniel J. O'Connell, 65, of Aspen Lane, in Polk Township. His 2005 Saturn Ion was parked in his driveway when entered and driven into the pond.
