Assault incident in Slatington

A Slatington man has been arrested following an assault incident in which a person was stabbed in the face with a screwdriver. The incident occurred about 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13, at the Fine Lodging at 700 Main St.

Police arrested William Siegfried, 45, of Apt. 310, with aggravated and simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Police declined to identify the victim or if the person required medical attention.
