Vehicles collide in Nesquehoning

Nesquehoing police were summoned July 14 at 1:26 p.m. for a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 209 and Mermon Avenue.

Chief Sean Smith said Angelica R. Lomanto, 80 W. Center St., Nesquehoning, was traveling south on Mermon Avenue when her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Elizabeth Kistler, 825 Bee Hollow Drive, Lehighton. The latter was traveling north on Rt. 209 at the time.

Smith said the accident happened in the middle of the intersection, resulting in minor injuries to Kistler.
