VAS stays in first place

Valley Athletic Supply is at the top of the standings of the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission's summer volleyball league. Valley will face second-place Sandstorm on Tuesday night at 7:30.

Valley Athletic Supply swept Volleyball Cronies 25-18, 25-8, 25-11. Allison Eberly had 14 service points, including five aces for Valley Athletic Supply. Jason Boris added 11 service points in the sweep.

Sandstorm

-Highwood USA

Sandstorm took the first two games off of Highwood USA by scores of 25-16, 25-20, 22-25. Megan Inama and Christa Mantz each had 12 service points for Sandstorm.

Highwood USA was led by Rick Baddick's seven service points.

Pup N' Suds

-Prestige Worldwide

Pup N' Suds picked up two wins against Prestige Worldwide, the scores were 25-18, 20-25, 26-24. Brittany Homcha had seven service points and Joan Porambo had six service points for Pup N' Suds.

Brendan Kash led Prestige Worldwide with seven service points.

Thursday, July 15

Valley Athletic

Valley Athletic Supply defeated Prestige Worldwide in all three games by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-21. Jason Boris led Valley Athletic Supply with 16 service points.

Victoria Nichols' nine service points was best for Prestige Worldwide.

Volleyball Cronies

-Pup N' Suds

Volleyball Cronies won two games against Pup N' Suds, the scores were 25-19, 20-25, 25-19. Kirsten Sandler had 11 service points for Volleyball Cronies. Chad Fritzinger and Mike Stockmal each had 10 service points for Volleyball Cronies.

Brittany Homcha had 10 service points for Pup N' Suds.

Sandstorm

-Highwood USA

Sandstorm swept Highwood USA by scores of 25-9, 25-19, 25-13. Christa Mantz and Cody Sassaman led Sandstorm with 14 service points each, and Kyle Nevenglosky had nine service points.
