Bensinger named all-Freedom Conference

Delaware Valley College freshman Jess Bensinger earned a spot on the all-Freedom Conference softball team.

Bensinger, a Tamaqua High School graduate, was a second-team selection behind the plate as the freshman appeared in 28 games (26 starts) and batted .309 with five doubles, 17 runs scored and five RBIs. She also worked with a pitching staff that had a 2.94 ERA.

Delaware Valley posted a 15-16 overall record, including a 5-9 mark in the Freedom Conference.
